Enhanced State Data Grants In September 2010 AHRQ awarded three-year grants to eight organizations to improve all-payer statewide hospital discharge data by augmenting the clinical content or improving race/ethnicity data. Laboratory Data Toolkit and Present on Admission (POA) Toolkit AHRQ funded four Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Partner Pilot or Planning Projects to build upon the value of the newly collected POA indicator and explore the addition of adding specific laboratory data. The Laboratory Data Toolkit and POA Toolkit are a result of these HCUP Partner projects and include practical information and tools to assist others with enhancing the clinical content of administrative data.
