How do I complete the AOR registration process at Grants.gov
Solution
An Authorized Organization Representative (AOR) is the person at an organization who is authorized to submit an application package. An organization may have multiple AORs. To register as an AOR for an organization, complete the following steps: 1. From the Grants.gov homepage, click on GET REGISTERED on the left side of the screen. 2. Select ORGANIZATION REGISTRATION. 3. Select STEP 3: USERNAME AND PASSWORD. 4. Click the CREATE USERNAME AND PASSWORD link: http://apply07.grants.gov/apply/OrcRegister 5. A new window will display. Enter the organization’s DUNS# and click REGISTER. Note: If the Organization has not completed the SAM registration process, Grants.gov will not progress to the next page. It will display the message PLEASE ENTER A VALID DUNS. Note: If the organization has completed the SAM registration process, but it has expired, Grants.gov will progress to the next page, but the following message will display: AN UNEXPECTED ERROR OCCURRED, UNABLE TO LOCATE YOUR DUNS. PLEASE CLOSE YOUR BROWSER AND TRY TO REGISTER AGAIN. 6. Complete the applicant information page (fields marked with an asterisk are required) and then click the CONTINUE button. 7. On the final screen verify the entered information and click the SUBMIT button. Additional Information: Once the AOR registration has been completed, the Organization E-Business Point of Contact (E-Biz POC) will receive an email notifying him/her of the AOR registration. The E-Biz POC will then need to login to Grants.gov to assign applicant privileges to the AOR. This is the final step of the registration process. Once this has been completed, the AOR will be able to submit applications on behalf of the organization.
