INVITATION: Conference Call – Unaccredited Providers and the UAA

Examining the Impact of the Universal Accreditation Act of 2012 (UAA) on Unaccredited Adoption Service Providers in Intercountry Adoption
The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), invite adoption service providers (ASPs) to a conference call highlighting the impact on ASPs of the UAA. The UAA was signed into law by the President on January 14, 2013. ASPs will have the opportunity to learn about the new accreditation requirements including the timelines for becoming accredited by the effective date of the UAA, July 14, 2014. Also featured will be the transition rule and its impact upon cases in process. The calls are primarily for ASPs not accredited to provide services in Hague Adoption Convention cases, as they are the primary focus of the UAA.
In order to accommodate the many ASPs and others interested in this topic, we will hold two calls covering the same information.
