Resource Name/Title

Cooperative Human Tissue Network (CHTN)

Description

CHTN provides normal, benign, pre-cancerous and cancerous human tissue for basic and developmental studies in many areas of cancer research.
CHTN obtains tissues from routine surgical resections and autopsies.
Remnant body fluids are available on some patients and limited histological services (e.g., frozen sections) can be obtained by special arrangement.
Normal tissues available from surgical resections include, but are not limited to, skeletal muscle, skin, bone, cartilage, connective tissue, breast, small and large intestine, and lung.
CHTN is not a tissue bank; specimens are collected prospectively according to researchers' specifications.
