LSC now accepting applications for its Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP)

LSC’s Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) is currently accepting applications from both new and renewing participants. The application period began February 1 and will remain open until 5pm Eastern time on Monday, February 25.

Through the program, LSC makes a limited number of forgivable loans to help attorneys employed by its grantee programs repay law school debt. Attorneys selected to participate in LSC’s LRAP may receive loans of up to $5,600 per year, for up to three years, provided they remain eligible and funding is available.

The LSC LRAP was established in 2005 and is funded by a Congressional appropriation.
