Infrastructure maintenance and upgrades

Western owns and operates more than 16,800 circuit miles of transmission lines, 258 substations and other electric power facilities in its 15-state service territory. To ensure reliable electric service, this system must be maintained and periodically upgraded. Also, facilities may need to be added or expanded to meet new demands.

The following are proposed construction projects on Western's transmission system in which Western will participate, either as the lead agency or as a partner:
