Consulting Support Service

The Consulting Support Service (CSS) was created in 1994 to provide technical and design support to all VA facilities and projects. This service is staffed by experienced professionals, registered engineers and architects who are experts in their fields. Additionally, the Consulting Support Service has access to an array of other professionals including code officials, manufacturers, academic sources, professional associations and VA program officials to assist in consultation tasks. CSS uses these experts and auxiliary professionals to provide consultation on architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, boiler/steam distribution, claims analysis, elevator and transport to VA facilities across all 21 VISNs.
