The purposes of the 2010 Annual Mid-Atlantic Diabetes Research Symposium are to encourage collaborations and enhance interactions at the regional level through the sharing of both reagents and expertise.  This year’s format will comprise six 30-minute invited talks (Shuldiner-MD, Quon-NIH, Seale-Penn, Imai-EVMS, Notkins-NIH, and Ronnett-Hopkins); eight short, hot-topic talks (both invited and selected from the abstracts); and as many posters as investigators wish to put up.  Invited speaker titles will be available shortly.  Coffee breaks will be long enough to view posters and renew acquaintances, and a 2-hour lunch break will feature good food at a reasonable price and a comprehensive poster session.  Early registration is encouraged.
