Ocean Chemistry Division
The Ocean Chemistry Division's (OCD) research includes projects that are important both in enhancing our basic understanding of the coupled atmospheric/ocean system but also in assessing the current and future effects of human activities on the coastal and oceanic environments.
Featured Publication
A coral species from the Florida Keys reef tract reveals sustained growth rates in the face of environmental change over a 60-year period. While the results do not mean that these corals are necessarily healthy, scientists did see that the corals were able to maintain their upward growth and skeletal accretion from 1937 through 1996.
