a.   The competent specialized practice of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery and integration of its role in total patient
      care with other  medical specialties.

b.   Teaching responsibilities necessary for organizing and conducting professional education programs in the United
      States Army Medical Service Corps.

c.   Maintaining podiatric health of the United States Army and providing care to the injured in accordance with
      recognized professional procedures.

d.   Professional and administrative roles of leadership in the Army practice of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery.

e.   Professional augmentation in critical need areas such as triage and first assistance to other surgical specialties
     during mass casualties.

f.   Initiating and conducting a clinical investigation and/or publication in a professional journal.

g.  Examination and certification by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery & the American Board of Podiatric
     Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.

         The program objectives are assessed in a yearly critique submitted to the Graduate Medical Education Committee and the CPME as established at WAMC & the Podiatry Consultant to the United States Army via and Army Medical Service Corp.  The WAMC Podiatric Education Committee reviews assessment outcomes and implements further improvements to the operational status of the program on a yearly basis.
