Introductory ISPF Class on February 3 – Mark Your Calendars
On February 3, 2010, the CIT Computer Training Program will offer an introductory course on ISPF/PDF (Interactive Systems Productivity Facility/Program Development Facility), IBM's full-screen editor and applications manager. The class is scheduled to run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm in Building 12A on the NIH campus.
ISPF basics
The course is meant for Titan users who are unfamiliar with ISPF and want to learn how to use its basic functions and associated productivity tools.
This class will not contain any Wylbur content but will provide an overview of how ISPF and associated data set manipulation features are performed within an ISPF environment during daily use.
Other course content
The course will also introduce students to the basic functions of IOF (Input/Output Facility) for viewing and manipulating your output, and cover IBM's MVS/QuickRef (QW), a tool that can be used to lookup online system message definitions and any suggested responses/solutions.

No prior ISPF knowledge is required for this class.
Pease note that each student should have a Titan system userid and password for use during the hands-on segment of the training. If you do not have a Titan userid and password or cannot remember your password, please check the "Introduction to ISPF" class page on the Computer Training Program website for instructions on what to do prior to the class start.
