8-Hour Hold on Tape Processing Jobs on Titan (Re)Scheduled for October 17th
For Saturday October 17, 2009, the NIH Data Center has scheduled an 8-hour time period from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. (midnight) during which tape processing jobs on Titan will be temporarily held from processing.
This will enable Data Center staff to complete moving the Virtual Storage Tape Library from the old 9310 tape silo to the new SL8500 tape silo. Once the tape cartridge move is completed, any held job will be released for processing on Titan. Since very few jobs allocate tape devices during this time period, we expect the impact on users to be minimal.
