New Release of the Titan OS to be Rolled out this Summer
This summer, CIT will roll out a new release of the Titan operating system (z/OS 1.11). The current OS will go out of support in September 2010; this new version will keep the Titan operating system at a supported level.
Testing and implementation dates will be developed and announced in a future article. New releases of COBOL and PL/1 are included in the new version of the operating system.
What you should do
All Titan users who have installed third-party software on this system should contact their vendors to ensure that such software will be supported and continue to function in this new operating system environment.
