Description:

Drug information is a necessity for work performed by researchers and clinicians at NIH. Learn how you can find drug properties, action, adverse effects and their development or regulatory status by searching bibliographic and factual databases, online books and journals, available to NIH staff.

Hands-on. Free. NIH and HHS staff only. NIH staff can register above. HHS staff can email a request to attend the class. Space is limited and registration is required.

       Objectives:
  • Identify the factual and bibliographic databases that offer information in pharmacology, drug development and drug regulation
  • Learn the best way to search for specific pharmacological or regulatory data within each database
  • Access online pharmacological journals and full text reports
  • Find the best drug information resources in our online reference books
  • Locate other Internet resources
  • Discuss requesting mediated pharmacology searches from a librarian
       Who Should Attend:
