The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Development Center manages more than $115 million in small business projects to accelerate the progress of cancer research and care.

Our office addresses a range of cross-cutting issues related to technology development by small businesses. We manage more than 400 projects focused on the development and commercialization of advanced technology platforms for cancer detection, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and research tools to enable discovery. The NCI SBIR Development Center has created a range of novel initiatives that go beyond funding to help support small businesses, foster the development of strategic partnerships, and catalyze cancer technology development.
