Quantitative Imaging Network
The QIN Imaging Network is designed to promote research and development of quantitative imaging methods for the measurement of tumor response to therapies in clinical trial settings, with the overall goal of facilitating clinical decision-making.
The CIP Informatics Team provides expertise to teams through participation in the QIN Bioinformatics/IT Working Group. The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) is currently being used as a mechanism to allow data sharing between sites. Presentations and feedback to the working group have helped to expand awareness of de-identification standards, freely available informatics tools, and image markup and annotation methodologies.
