Finding Standards

The NASA Standards Program (sponsored by the NASA Chief Engineer’s Office) offers a repository of downloadable standards and specification. Thousands of NASA Military and Industry standards are searchable via the NASA Standards website.

Access to this database is open to all JPL and NASA employees, but registration via NASA Launchpad is required. Click here to register. If you have questions about access to a specific standard, and you are not able to download it via the NASA Standards website, please contact the JPL Chief Engineers Office at x3-5528 (JPL Only).

Finding Patents

US Patents online tools:
Google Patent Search provides full text search and retrieval of the U.S. patent literature.
USPTO Web Patent Databases (Patent and Trademark Office) provides access to the full text of all U.S. Patent applications since 1976, and full-page images of patents since 1790. the U.S.
