Provider Training
The substance abuse treatment workforce includes a wide array of practitioners and
lay persons who care for clients with a range of substance abuse problems, in a
variety of settings. Psychiatrists and other physicians, psychologists, nurses,
social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, individuals recovering
from a substance related-disorder, clergy, and many others are involved in client
interventions.
