Our Focus
The NIH Office of Science Policy Analysis examines cross-cutting science policy issues and develops programs at the interface of science and public policy.
Providing Science and Technology Policy Fellowships throughout the NIH in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
Applying rigorous scientific standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research results
Coordinating critical input from the planning and evaluation officers throughout NIH, a key resource for the exchange and dissemination of information relevant to NIH policies, procedures, and strategic objectives
Guiding and advising potential partners on the formation of partnerships that leverage NIH and non-NIH resources
Taking the lead on Congressionally mandated reports that require trans-NIH analyses and products
Collecting, packaging and disseminating up-to-date information on NIH scientific accomplishments to NIH Senior Staff, Congress, Patient Advocacy Groups and the Public
Analyzing a wide range of current issues and developing critical policies affecting NIH-funded research
Working with the National Academies and the various NIH components to enhance the NIH mission and fulfill U.S. scientific, health and policy needs
