The goal of this program is to provide an opportunity for established scientists to visit and collaborate with LHC scientists and to learn new informatics skills for their research. The Research Program for Visiting Scientists provides faculty or research staff members an opportunity to participate in collaborative medical informatics research. Participants work directly with leading medical informatics professionals, have access to on-site resources, and gain an in depth perspective of Lister Hill Center programs. Short-term appointments, summer appointments, and long-term sabbaticals are available. Recipients may receive a stipend which varies depending on degree, research area and experience.

Applicants should be faculty or research staff members of accredited colleges, universities or technical institutes. The Medical Informatics Training Program is an equal opportunity program.
