Supporting Burundi’s continued economic growth and development is one of U.S. Embassy Bujumbura’s main priorities.  In addition to specific program and policy support facilitated by USAID and the Department of State, we at the U.S. Mission in Burundi also work with U.S. and Burundian businesses to foster private sector development and encourage entrepreneurship. We help American firms develop commercial ties, find local partners, and identify opportunities in Burundi.
