General Information

The United States Government has no higher responsibility than to serve and protect its citizens, including those who reside or are temporarily abroad. To this end, the American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit provides prompt, courteous, and efficient services to United States Citizens and other clients, consistent with U.S. laws and regulations.

The ACS Unit provides Americans in the consular district with the latest information on the area, as well as a range of emergency and non-emergency services.  The U.S. Consulate General in Monterrey serves Americans in the following Mexican states:

• Nuevo Leon
• Zacatecas
• Durango
• San Luis Potosi
• Coahuila (Except the municipalities of  Ciudad Acuña, Allende, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jiménez, Morelos, Nava, Piedras Negras, Villa Union and Zaragoza)
