International Youth Development Programming
The 4-H youth development model has been replicated in over 80 countries around the world. These programs operate independently, as there is no international 4-H organization. However, through international exchanges, global education programs, and communications, they share a common bond.
International Positive Youth Development
It is USDA/NIFA’s policy to promote positive youth development in the United States, and to draw upon that deep experience to assist with similar positive youth development activities around the world.

While the 4-H program — its name, emblem and brand — is authorized for enriching the lives of America’s youth, much of the experience gained over the years by Cooperative Extension youth development leaders is relevant to those around the world who want to organize programs for promoting positive development of their young citizens.
