Conduct Research

The following types of research can be conducted online using caBIG®-enabled capabilities:

Examine gene and chromosomal information, analyze expression data, and correlate this information with clinical outcomes data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Repository for Molecular Brain Neoplasia Data (REMBRANDT), and Therapeutically Applicable Research to Generate Effective Treatment (TARGET) programs.
(Available through the caBIG® Molecular Analysis (CMA) Portal)

Examine genomic, gene expression, RNAi, pathway, SNP and other chromosomal characterization data from normal, precancerous, and cancerous cells.
(Available through the Cancer Genome Anatomy Project (CGAP) portal)

Access targeted exome and whole transcriptome sequence data from multiple types of cancer.
(Available through the Cancer Genome Characterization Initiative (CGCI) portal)

Examine mutation, copy number, expression and DNA methylation data from a wide variety of projects including The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Therapeutically Applicable Research to Generate Effective Treatment (TARGET), Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer (COSMIC), the Tumor Sequencing Project (TSP), and other data sets.
(Available through the Cancer Genome Workbench (CGWB) portal)

Correlate genomic and expression data with outcomes using analytical tools from the NCI-hosted instance of caIntegrator and data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Therapeutically Applicable Research to Generate Effective Treatment (TARGET), Repository for Molecular Brain Neoplasia Data (REMBRANDT), the Director's Challenge Lung Cancer Study, and the CoCaNUT colon cancer study.
(Available through the NCI-hosted instance of caIntegrator)

Examine gene expression, gene copy number data, and clinical outcomes from glioma patients.
(Available through the Repository for Molecular Brain Neoplasia Data (REMBRANDT) portal)
