Product Description:

The Algorithm Validation Toolkit (AVT) provides tools to support medical image measurement validation research. The goal of AVT is to provide the caBIG® community with free and open technologies to support image measurement in research. AVT can be utilized in conjunction with caGrid in such a way that when image data associated with published (or non-published) research study is made available on the caGrid, another researcher can more readily replicate the experiment for validation and/or extension of that research.

caAdapter is an open source tool set that provides model mapping services, and facilitates data mapping and transformation among different kinds of data sources including HL7 v2 messages, HL7 v3 messages, and Regulatory Data Sets. caAdapter has a component-based architecture composed of loosely coupled service modules. Each caAdapter service module can be packed and deployed on the web for online users. caAdapter also provides programming APIs for application integration with other systems such as caBIG® Integration Hub, and web service APIs for service integration over the network.

Product Description:

caArray is an open-source, web and programmatically accessible array data management system. caArray guides the annotation and exchange of array data using a federated model of local installations whose results are shareable across the cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG®). caArray furthers translational cancer research through acquisition, dissemination and aggregation of semantically interoperable array data to support subsequent analysis by tools and services on and off the Grid. As array technology advances and matures, caArray will extend its logical library of assay management. There is an NCI hosted caArray application available online.

Product Description:

cancer Bench-to-Beside (caB2B) is an open-source query tool that permits translational research scientists to search and combine data from virtually any caGrid data service.

The caB2B suite is composed of three core components: the Web application, the Client Application, and the Administrative Module. The caB2B Web Application provides query templates that allow easy search and retrieval across the grid of microarray data (from caArray), imaging data (from the National Biomedical Imaging Archive (NBIA)), specimen data (from caTissue), and nanoparticle data (from caNanoLab). Searches can be performed on selected locations using either form-based or keyword searches and data can be exported in the CSV format. The web application can be used from standard web browsers and does not require any software to be downloaded.

The caB2B Client Application is a thick Java application that enables advanced end users to create and execute queries across caGrid data services. The query component consists of a diagrammatic view that allows the user to graphically create a query that is to be executed and also helps the user to connect two or more classes to be searched. Users can save the query and data returned may be saved in the form of a ‘virtual experiment’. These data can be visualized using various graphical components.

The Administrative Module provides a graphical user interface for customizing a particular instance of caB2B. For example, an administrator can select models and service instances that may be queried, curate paths between classes in models, create user-friendly categories using two or more classes from a model, and create inter-model joins.

Product Description:

The caBIG® Adverse Event Reporting System (caAERS) is an open source software tool that is used to record and report adverse events that occur during clinical trials. This tool supports regulatory and protocol compliance for adverse event report and allows local collection, management, and querying of adverse event data. This tool also supports service based integration of data from other clinical trials management systems.

Product Description:

The caBIG® Central Clinical Participant Registry (C3PR) is a web-based application used for end-to-end registration of patients in clinical trials. This includes capturing the consent signed date, eligibility criteria, stratification, randomization, and screening. C3PR provides a user-friendly patient registration wizard, which walks the study coordinator through the process of enrolling, registering and randomizing the patient. Clinical workflows are enabled by both subject- and study-centric views into the registration process. The system tracks screening failures and enrollment statistics, and can be configured to alert study personnel when accrual thresholds are met. C3PR can be run in a standalone mode where study definitions, investigators, study personnel, and sites are entered into the system, or C3PR can be run in an integrated mode with the caBIG® Clinical Trials Suite. C3PR also enables multi-site clinical trials where registration information is entered locally at affiliate sites and the registration is completed by call-out to the coordinating site.

Product Description:

The caBIG®Clinical Connector (formerly C3D Connector) provides a semantically integrated service layer via caGrid that allows users of a Clinical Data Management System (CDMS) to expose functions within the CDMS. The exposed service layer uses a BRIDG-based model and defines service operations (including patient registration and loading of laboratory test data) that can be implemented by a CDMS.

The Clinical Connector for C3D has a Administrator's User Interface. Administrators can use this application to manage the Clinical Connector settings and Login credentials to be used by the patient registration process.
