About the Director's Consumer Liaison Group

DCLG members advise the NCI and its Director on issues that benefit from an informed community perspective. The group is comprised of advocate leaders, chosen for their expert understanding of the perspectives and dynamics of the cancer research community.

DCLG Members

The DCLG identifies and responds to issues and challenges facing the Institute at the request of the Director. The DCLG provides relevant non-scientific skills and perspectives in order to improve research outcomes by identifying new approaches, promoting innovation, recognizing unforeseen risks or barriers, and identifying unintended consequences that could result from NCI decisions. To accomplish this, the DCLG focuses on enhancing community input, optimizing community outreach, and promoting strong collaborations with the community that improve research outcomes.
