About NLM in Focus

Welcome to NLM in Focus.

This electronic newsletter gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at the National Library of Medicine and how its vast resources are being used to improve public health and safety, and advance science and medicine.

NLM in Focus will feature articles about events at NLM, the library’s programs and services, research projects, fascinating collections, and its outreach efforts in the US and abroad. The talents and efforts of the people at NLM, its partner libraries, and its grantees will be showcased. The newsletter will explore trends and new technologies, and will deliver helpful news you can use.

NLM is the world’s largest medical library. It collects and preserves medical information from around the world and contains some items that can’t be found anywhere else. It provides a wealth of information online. And, it conducts and funds leading-edge research and development that changes the way the health professionals, scientists, researchers, and the public get and share information.

NLM in Focus articles will go online as soon as they become available and will be permanently archived.
