Goals
Improve the reliability, predictability, and efficiency of Department of Defense (DOD) material moving within the Continental United States by all modes through long-term partnerships with a world-class coordinator of transportation management services
Partner with a world-class transportation services provider (3PL) to manage Continental United States (CONUS) distribution of freight for selected Service and DLA shipping locations. Leverage winning coordinator's existing commercial freight volume, with DOD's large freight volume utilizing "best commercial practices" to achieve efficiencies in distribution and associated cost savings.
