March 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. will be a presentation by retired CIA officer Lou Mehrer,
The Berlin Tunnel Operation: A Cold War Intelligence Triumph

A Fulbright Scholar and Woodrow Wilson Fellow, Mehrer recently participated in the United Kingdom film production, Spies Beneath Berlin, the history of the Berlin Tunnel Operation.  The operation provided American and British intelligence with significant information, roughly 40,000 hours of telephone conversations were recorded as well as 6 million hours of teletype traffic detailing Soviet military and intelligence information. 

The Berlin Tunnel Operation will occur on Saturday, March 9 in the Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
