If you would like to be a part of NIAAA which supports and conducts research on the impact of alcohol use on human health and well-being, this could be the position for you. This position is in the Office of Extramural Research (OER), Extramural Project Review Branch (EPRB), NIAAAs an Administrative Technician (OA), you will:

 

Provide administrative support to include:  reception, procurements, budget, human resources, office automation, timekeeping, travel, and various other general office management tasks.

 

Monitor and acquire office supplies for the office and ensures adequate stock of all purchases.  

 

Provide technical assistance to the Administrative Officers in the formulation and development of budget estimates.

 

Prepare personnel packages, assist with the recruitment process, maintain updated reports on personnel actions in progress and projected.

 

Use a variety of software applications in order to prepare documents.

Qualification Requirements:

FOR THE GS-06:  You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal Government.   Examples of qualifying experience include:  providing a wide variety of essential administrative services, particularly in regard to the procurement and the receipt of equipment, supplies, and services, as well as budgeting, arranging travel, training, and other administrative services for an organization.

 

FOR THE GS-07:  You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 level in the Federal Government.  Examples of qualifying experience include:  providing a wide variety of essential administrative services, particularly in regard to the procurement and the receipt of equipment, supplies, and services, as well as budgeting, arranging travel, training, and other administrative services for an organization. Also, includes developing and implementing new administrative procedures, and instructing or advising others on those procedures.
