Diversity & Inclusion

The Institute and Center Services Division (ICSD) is responsible for the execution of diversity and inclusion strategy for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). ICSD offers a complete range of equal employment opportunity (EEO) and diversity and inclusion consulting services for the NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs). Working closely with our stakeholder partners, ICSD recommends innovative solutions to manage a diverse workforce and leverage the talents and perspectives of these employees. ICSD offers a range of recommendations to ensure equal opportunity for every employee of the NIH to achieve their highest potential and thrive. Our ICSD EEO Specialists, who function as liaisons to the NIH ICs, together with the ICSD Special Emphasis Program Managers (SEPMs) provide services in the following program areas:

  • Workforce and Employment Data and other related ad hoc reports
  • Consultancy to IC committees/panel venues such as Search Committees, Qualification Review Boards, Promotion Advisory Committees, Title 42 Standing Committees, Tenure and Tenure Track Promotion Committees-[Ex-Officio]
