Federal Regulations Related to BEA’s Data Collection

BEA has been delegated authority to conduct surveys of direct investment and international services transactions under the International Investment and Trade in Services Survey Act, 22 U.S.C. 3101–3108. The implementing regulations are contained in Title 15, CFR, Part 801 – Survey of International Trade in Services Between U.S. and Foreign Persons and Part 806 – Direct Investment Surveys.
