Proposal to Establish Chehalem Mountains and Yamhill-Carlton Viticultural Areas

Washington, D.C. - The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) issued two notices of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register on October 7, 2003, proposing to establish the Chehalem Mountains (Notice No. 18) and Yamihill-Carlton District (Notice No.19) viticultural areas in Yamill and Washington Counties, Oregon. Both proposed viticultural areas would fall within the boundaries of the existing Willamette Valley viticultural area.

Written comments must be received on or before December 8, 2003.
