Hackpad is a Web application that lets multiple people edit a single document, or collection of documents, in real-time. Getting started with Hackpad is pretty simple—just open it up and start typing—but Hackpad is more than a document editor or a wiki.

About the Presenters  

 

Paul Bove is the Social Media Lead at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  He is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Communication at American University teaching social media in the Public Communication master's program.
 
Before joining the FDA, Paul was a government contractor with RMCI, serving as the Social Media Manager for the CIO Web Team at the Office of Personnel Management. Prior to that position, he was the Social Media Strategist and Senior Web Producer within the Air Force Public Affairs Agency, helping build one of the Department of Defense’s first social media and emerging technology teams. Paul brings over a decade of communications experience from the government and non-profit world. He also co-authored "New Media and the Air Force," a primer on new and social media, and worked on the companion video of the same name.
 

Paul completed his Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

Linden Ellis is the communications lead for Hackpad, based in their office in San Francisco. She was one of Hackpad's first users, and has been in her current position helping other users get the most out of Hackpad for almost a year.
