Funding for Special   Communities

Postgraduate Physician Scientists

Physician scientists may be supported by training grants (T32s) and/or fellowships (F32s). Up to three years of research support is possible before, in the middle of, or after your specialty training. NRSA funds cannot be used for specialized clinical training.

Both T32 positions and F32s are subject to rules of the NRSA program.

You must contact the Principal Investigator of the currently supported NIDDK training grant  in which you are interested to see if a position is available. For an individual fellowship, you must apply for funding following the instructions in the F32 program announcement.
