American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
Mentoring and Career Development Resources

Science’s Next Wave, now ScienceCareers.org, has long published profiles and features on women in science.

Now merged into the ScienceCareers.org family are the former Next Wave publications Career Development Center – which focused on academic careers, the Postdoc Network – now the National Postdoctoral Association, and the Minority Scientists Network. These documents are now free to all and widely promoted in Science magazine.

A couple of highlights from the collection:

AAAS is also the administrator for the L’ORÉAL USA Fellowships for Women in Science. The fellowships are awarded to women engaged in basic research in the life and physical/material sciences, technology (including computer science), engineering and mathematics.

AAAS is a partner in The Global Alliance for Diversifying the Science and Engineering Workforce, a collaborative initiative of the AAAS; Women in Engineering Programs & Advocates Network (WEPAN); and the Association for Women in Science (AWIS).
