TOXMAP now includes 2004 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data

TOXMAP now includes the 2004 Toxics Release Inventory data (TRI) (http://www.epa.gov/tri/NationalAnalysis/archive/index.html).

Other TOXMAP updates include:
  • Direct links to TOXMAP and the MapIt button from TOXNET®/TRI now bring up TRI/Superfund combination maps;
  • The TOXMAP Tour has been updated to include Superfund features;
  • Redesigned "Health Data" page;
  • Metadata added to shapefile download.
TOXMAP maps the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) chemicals reported to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as required by the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA).

A complete list of TRI chemicals required to be reported to the EPA can be found at http://www.epa.gov/tri/trichemicals/index.htm.
