Current NCI HIV/AIDS Research Activities

Dr. Eric Freed is part of the HIV Drug Resistance Program, an NCI initiative addressing the challenge of developing HIV therapeutics that are effective against drug-resistant virus.

The NCI conducts and supports research in HIV/AIDS and HIV malignancy throughout many of its Divisions, Centers, and Offices. As part of its role in overseeing research efforts in this field, some research activities are directly supported by the Office of HIV and AIDS Malignancy (OHAM).

An active research program in HIV/AIDS and HIV malignancies is conducted by scientists working at the NCI campuses in Bethesda, Rockville, and Frederick, Maryland.
