Figure 7.2 is a bar graph showing the perceived availability of marijuana, LSD, and cocaine among youths aged 12 to 17 by county type in 2002. Among youths in large metropolitan counties, 55.2 percent said marijuana would be easy or fairly easy to obtain, 20.1 percent said LSD would be easy or fairly easy to obtain, and 26.0 percent said cocaine would be easy or fairly easy to obtain. Among youths in small metropolitan counties, 55.5 percent said marijuana would be easy or fairly easy to obtain, 19.5 percent said LSD would be easy or fairly easy to obtain, and 24.9 percent said cocaine would be easy or fairly easy to obtain. Among youths in nonmetropolitan counties, 53.6 percent said marijuana would be easy or fairly easy to obtain, 17.7 percent said LSD would be easy or fairly easy to obtain, and 22.9 percent said cocaine would be easy or fairly easy to obtain.
