Paige Miller
Paige Miller, PhD., MPH, RD is a Cancer Prevention Fellow in the Risk Factor
Monitoring and Methods Branch of the Applied Research Program. Dr. Miller earned
an M.P.H. in quantitative methods from the Harvard School of Public Health, an
M.S. and a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences from the Pennsylvania State University,
and a B.A. from Duke University in public policy studies. She also completed a
dietetic internship at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. Her dissertation
research focused on dietary patterns, meat-related compounds, and colorectal
cancer risk. Dr. Miller's thesis work for her M.S. degree investigated dietary
supplement use among older adult cancer survivors. Her research for her M.P.H.
degree addressed differences in dietary patterns between rural and urban older
adult cancer survivors and associations with obesity. As a Cancer Prevention
Fellow, Dr. Miller plans to explore policy-relevant diet and cancer research
questions and further her research into dietary assessment and dietary pattern
methodology. Dr. Miller is also interested in examining the role of the food
environment on health disparities.
