Deputy Director, NCATS
The NCATS deputy director will work closely with the NCATS director to provide leadership in catalyzing the creation, demonstration and dissemination of innovative methods and technologies that enhance the development, testing and implementation of diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of human diseases and conditions. Candidates for the deputy director position must possess a record of accomplishment in innovation in the translational process, and an outstanding record of scientific accomplishment in public and/or private sector research. Applicants must possess an M.D. or Ph.D. or equivalent degree, as well as senior-level experience, leadership and accomplishment in one or more medical and/or scientific disciplines of translational science, from target validation through health care utilization research. Director, NCATS Division of Clinical Innovation
The Director of the Division of Clinical Innovation at NCATS will provide overall leadership, scientific vision and stewardship of NIH investments to bring innovation to the implementation of clinical research, including oversight of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards program.
