About Biospecimen Access

The CGB promotes open access to their specimens by the scientific community worldwide. Membership in Cooperative Groups is not necessary for access to CGB specimens.

An online inventory tool is under development to identify GBC biospecimens of interest. For more details on specimen features or availability, contact the individual Cooperative Group Bank via contact information on the Contacts Page of this Web site.

To apply for access to specimens of interest, contact the respective Cooperative Group directly by email and/or submit a Biospecimen Feasibility Query form and/or Biospecimen Access Application that can be downloaded from the Forms page.

Projects designed to investigate associations between laboratory results and clinical outcomes are appropriate for use of CGB specimens.
