Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), conducts research on fertility, pregnancy, growth, development, and medical rehabilitation to ensure that every person is born healthy and wanted and grows up free from disease or disability. NICHD’s Pediatric, Adolescent, and Maternal AIDS Branch (PAMA) supports and conducts research on HIV/AIDS and its complications in infants, children, adolescents, pregnant women, mothers, women of childbearing age, and the family unit as a whole.
