This report examines the effectiveness of automated speed and red-light-running enforcement systems in reducing crashes. All the studies included in the report examined safety outcomes in terms of crash or injury reduction. The findings suggest that enforcement type and characteristics of the enforcement site influence efficiency of automated enforcement.
