Directions to DLA Troop Support

DLA Troop Support is located on the Naval Supply Activity-Philadelphia Compound at
700 Robbins Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19111-5092

Directions to DLA Troop Support are provided below from the following locations:

From 30th Street Station: Take Schuylkill Expressway (I 76) West; Get on the Roosevelt Expressway (Route 1 North), which becomes the Roosevelt Boulevard. You should be in the center lanes. If you find yourself in the outer lanes of the boulevard, you will need to cross over. There are spots along the road to do this. Turn left onto Levick St. Then turn left onto Oxford Ave. You will see the main gate of the compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

From 30th Street Station by Public Transit:

  1. Follow signs through 30th Street Station to Market Frankford Blue Line East to Bridge-Pratt terminal. Cash Fare is $2.75 with transfer. Be sure to ask the cashier for a transfer when paying the fare. The frequency of trains is 6-12 minutes.
  2. At the Bridge-Pratt Terminal take the route 24 bus to the NAVICP compound, (this is the stop after the Summerdale and Oxford Avenue stop). Ask the bus driver to announce the Navy Depot. You will be across the street from the main gate of the compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

SEPTA offers a Day Pass good for unlimited city bus/subway service and one way train service to or from the Airport. This pass is $5.00 and it can be purchased from the visitors booth at the airport.

The SEPTA fare to DLA Troop Support from 30th Street Station is $2.75.

From Allentown: Take NE Extension (PA 9) South. Go EAST on the PA Turnpike (PA 276) to Route 1 (Philadelphia Interchange). Proceed South on Route 1. This becomes the Roosevelt Boulevard. Make sure you are in the outer lanes, not the center lanes. Turn right onto Levick St. Turn left onto Oxford Ave. (Hess Station on left corner, Rite Aid on the right). You will see the main gate of the compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

From Baltimore, MD: Take I-95 North; exit at Cottman Ave. (PA 73 West). Proceed 3.9 miles to Oxford Ave. (Route 232). Turn LEFT onto Oxford and follow for 1.3 miles to the main gate of the Compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

From Harrisburg: Take PA Turnpike East to Exit 326 (I-76 E Schuylkill Expwy). Take exit 340B from the Schuylkill for Route 1 North. This becomes the Roosevelt Boulevard. You should be in the center lanes. If you find yourself in the outer lanes of the boulevard, you will need to cross over. Turn left onto Summerdale Ave, then left onto Oxford Ave. You will see the main gate of the compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

From King of Prussia: Take I 76 East to Route 1 North. This becomes the Roosevelt Boulevard. You should be in the center lanes. If you find yourself in the outer lanes of the boulevard, you will need to cross over. There are spots along the road to do this. Turn left onto Summerdale Ave. Then turn left onto Oxford Ave. You will see the main gate of the compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

From New Jersey: Take Route 73 North. Cross the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. As you exit the bridge, stay straight. This is Levick Street. Continue on Levick St. for 3.8 miles to Oxford Ave. (There is a Hess Gas Station on the left corner and a Rite Aid on the right). Turn left onto Oxford. You will see the main gate of the compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.

From New York: Take New Jersey Turnpike to Route 73 North. Cross the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. As you exit the bridge, stay straight. From Phila. Int'l Airport by Public Transit:

  1. Take the SEPTA Airport line (R1) to Market East Station. Purchase $5.00 ticket from platform vending machine. Frequency of the train is every 30 minutes. For more specific schedule information see SEPTA's R1 schedule on the SEPTA web site.
  2. Follow signs through Gallery Complex to Market Frankford Blue Line East to Bridge-Pratt terminal. Cash Fare is $2.75 with transfer. Be sure to ask the cashier for a transfer when paying the fare. The frequency of trains is 6-12 minutes.

From Washington, DC: Take I-95 North; exit at Cottman Ave. (PA 73 West). Proceed 3.9 miles to Oxford Ave. (Route 232). Turn LEFT onto Oxford and follow for 1.3 miles to the main gate of the Compound. Follow "What to do when you arrive" below.


WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE

As you drive toward the main gate of the compound, bear right go past the guard booth and make a right turn into the Visitor Parking area (This parking area is to the right of the main gate). After you park you need to go the Visitor Center (Building 109). It is the small building adjacent to the main gate (on the right hand side). When you sign in you will be asked who you are coming to see, what agency (DLA Troop Support, NAVICP, etc.) , and possibly a phone extension of the person you are coming to see. Visitors require photo identification to access the base. You will be given a name tag to wear at all times on the compound.
