Arlington National Cemetery has been a fully operational national cemetery since May 1864. We have interred or inurned more than 330,000 people with dignity and honor; today I am proud to lead a workforce of dedicated professionals who pay tribute to our nation’s heroes each day with dignity and respect. It is my responsibility to ensure each and every veteran and their loved one laid to rest here, receives the care, attention to detail and utmost professionalism he or she has earned through service to this nation.

We are entrusted with a sacred duty, and every day we honor fallen heroes from the fronts of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as veterans of World War II, the Korean conflict, Vietnam and the Cold War and their family members.

Upon completion of my service in the United States Marine Corps, I have dedicated my entire civilian career to cemetery operations. I am honored to be the Superintendent of Arlington National Cemetery.
