Purpose of Form :

This form is used by a U.S. citizen who plans to adopt a foreign-born child and enables USCIS to adjudicate the application that relates to the qualifications of the applicant(s) as prospective adoptive parent(s).

Filing Fee :

The filing fee for Form I-600A is $720. An additional biometric services fee of $85 is required for every adult age 18 or older living in the household where the child will reside. Residents living abroad are exempt from USCIS biometric services fees.

Form M-760, Orphan Home Study Tip Sheet, provides prospective adoptive parents and adoption service providers with helpful tips for preparing home studies for Orphan adoptions.
