Yorba Linda Public Library Art Show Exhibits Student Work at Nixon Presidential Library
YORBA LINDA, November 30—The Yorba Linda Public Library is giving students the opportunity to showcase their creativity in an art show entitled “Exposed.” The show, which will run at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda from December 3 through December 17, features artwork and poetry by local students from grades 7 through 12.
“We’re excited to be putting this show together for local students, their families, and the entire community,” said Yorba Linda Public Library director Danis Kreimeier.
Librarian Patricia Rivera congratulated members of the public library’s Teen Advisory Board, which organized the event. “Giving teens the opportunity to display their artistry is wonderful,” Rivera said. “What’s even more remarkable is that this idea was conceived and largely managed by their peers.”
Nixon Library director Tim Naftali welcomed the exhibition. “In addition to having a national mission of helping Americans better understand the Nixon era, we are dedicated to being a part of the local community,” Naftali said. “We’re proud to be hosting this exhibition, and we hope that it’s the first in a long series of collaborations.”
Admission to the special exhibit in the Nixon Library’s Great Room is free. Admission to the Nixon Library’s main exhibit galleries is $9.95 for adults, $6.95 for seniors over 62, $5.95 for students, $3.75 for children ages 7 to 11, and free for children under age 6.
