Bernstein to speak at Nixon Library October 22

YORBA LINDA, CALIFORNIA--Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Carl Bernstein will speak at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on October 22, 2007. Bernstein will discuss his career in journalism and his new biography of Senator Hillary Clinton, A Woman In Charge, in the Library's auditorium at 4:00 p.m.

"As a federal institution, the Nixon Library takes seriously its mission to bring informative and exciting programming about American history to the public," Library director Timothy Naftali said. "Bernstein's visit to Yorba Linda is an important part of fulfilling that mission."

Bernstein, currently a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, received the Pulitzer Price in 1973 with his collaborator Bob Woodward for their investigation of the Watergate scandal. He co-wrote two books about the Nixon administration with Woodward: All The President's Men and The Final Days.

Admission to the event is free, and school groups are welcome. The federal Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is the newest member of the National Archives and Records Administration's system of presidential libraries. Located at 18001 Yorba Linda Boulevard in Yorba Linda, California, the Library is only minutes from Anaheim and less than an hour from downtown Los Angeles.
