Nixon Library announces that the Wilderness Years collection is now open for research

July 11, Yorba Linda, CA—The Nixon Library announces that the Wilderness Years collection is now open for research. The collection pertains primarily to the years 1963 through the early months of 1968. After his defeat in the 1962 California gubernatorial campaign, Richard Nixon moved to New York City, where he became a partner in the law firm of Nixon, Mudge, Rose, Guthrie, and Alexander. The Wilderness Years collection contains materials relating to Richard Nixon's legal practice from 1963 through early 1968; various international "fact-finding" trips; correspondence; and speech files. It also contains some materials from 1960 through 1962, such as Richard Nixon's legal files from the Los Angeles law firm Adams, Duque, and Hazeltine and the drafts and revisions to the book Six Crises.
